Everyone remembers those days of staring up at their bedroom wall, wistfully ignoring homework while dreaming about the poster on the wall. You know, the one that said "Motivation for Education," that had all those gorgeous exotic sports cars in what might be the ultimate garage of all time? If you don't remember it, then you must have been doing homework!
For 2012, there are many, many sports cars that might just fit into that well-educated garage, but how many might have earned it? Does Ferrari stand a chance? Lamborghini? Is there really a car out there today that could upset these fabled sports car icons in the all-important "bedroom wall poster" beauty contest? The answer is a resounding "yes." Could you find an insurance rate on either of them at InsuranceQuotes.org? That remains to be seen!
The 2012 Bugatti World Record Edition is a car that most ordinary people won't ever see except for in photographs. "Why is that?" you ask. The easy answer is because there's only five of them. Painted a visually striking black and orange color, which is the same as the actual car that ran the world record. That run was 267.856 miles per hour. Pricing for the basic Supersport, on which the World Record Edition is based, starts at $2,700,000.
While Ferrari and Lamborghini have found their way to becoming "driveable" supercars, the Pagani Zonda has introduced itself as a brash, no-holds-barred supercar that picks up where the Diablo got tamed. The 2009 Pagani Zonda R takes the base Zonda and cranks up the volume as high as it will go. You wouldn't want to drive this car on the street. There are only fifteen of these cars in existence, built specifically for racing. If you can find one, expect to pay north of $1,000,000 for it.
Both of these cars are at the very forefront of automotive technology, and though they do represent two vehicles that are all but unattainable, they are still absolutely bedroom-poster worthy.
