Up for consideration is a1942 publication of"Shop Theory", 2nd edition, by the Shop Theory Dept. of the Henry Ford Trade School, (original copyright 1934, revised 1942 by McGraw Hill).
A 268 page softcover book of the complete machine shop works, theory, calculations, tools of the Ford Trades. This was usedby the potential Ford student mechanic to familiarize himself with the Ford method of repairing cars, through the use of his own tools and machines to make the repairs necessaryto make the Ford automobile operable.
Its 26Chapters are:Formulas, Small Tools, Rules, Micrometers, Vernier Gauges, Chisels/Chipping, Hack Saws/Sawing, Files & Filing, Soldering, Shop Review, Drills/Drilling, Tapers, Threads, Gearing, Cutting Tools, Shapers, Planer, Lathes, Turret Lathes, Milling Machines, Gages (sic) and Gage Blocks, Heat Treatment, Abrasives/Grinding Wheels, Grinding Machines, Routing and Blueprints of a Job.
Again, this isin Excellent Plus shape, pages Near MINT......has the original dust cover!
This would be a neat book to have if setting up your garage shop, in addition to learning about shop theory and proper repair milling and body work...not to mention a nice piece of Ford memorabilia!
