With their sports suspension and all the aluminum and carbon fiber together with a middle mounted power unit, The Elise and Exige are true sports cars with amazing ability on the road. Should be fun watch on the roads of Jeddah.

This is the quickest of the superlight series of Caterham sports cars. The Superlight R400 come s with a 210 bhp. The base Superlight Model comes with 150bhp, the Superlight R300 is 160bhp.

The Caterham 7 Superlight is built around Colin Chapman’s ethos of ‘add lightness’ from the times of the Lotus 7.

The Superlight R400 has a 210bhp 2 litre Duratec engine and is wrapped in the lightweight frame of the standard chassis. This 2007 model year R400 is an update on the 2002 original, and is based on the ‘C400’ race car used in the Caterham Superlight Challenge and Eurocup race series in 2006. In every race of 2006, the C400 has proven itself to be substantially quicker than the K-Series R400.

After GM stopped production of the Elan in 1992, Kia Motor licensed this car and the KIA Elan was built in 1996 and 1997 for the Korean market, using a 151 horsepower (113 kW) 1.8 L engine instead of the Isuzu made 1.6.

It was a copy of the Elan M100 car, that didn’t do too well, due to a bad recession in the USA, and high price of the car, with poor feedback of the front wheel lotus.

The Elan M100 is the 1990 model of the famous Lotus Elan brands of sport cars with the signature hidden headlights.

Lotus engineering made this roadster a toughie, with the Chassis of this roadster as rigid as a coupe.
This was the only front wheel drive lotus sports car, and didn’t succeed as mush as it successors or predecessors.

The M100 Elan used a Isuzu 1588 cc twin-cam 16-valve turbocharged engine. It produced 162 horsepower (121 kW), with a 0-60 acceleration time of 6.5 s, and a top speed of 137 mph.

Lotus stopped producing the Elan in June 1992 Elan, to cut mounting losses by General Motors untill 1996-1997 when Kia Elan was Produced for the Korean Market by KIA Motors.
